Summer and spring is among us and is there anything nicer than a nice clean crisp white shirt for women? We suggest making a beet salad if you are new to using beets. Start by removing the leaves and cutting the beets into 1 inch cuts. Make sure you wash them. After adding the beets to boiling water let them cook for 40 minutes. The larger the beet, the longer the cooking time needed.

How long to cook beets after they have been cooked, bring the beets to a room temperature or cooler by placing them into cold water. Be sure to carefully remove the skin before leaving them in the fridge. We typically recommend using a small knife or device rather than a peeler. The reason a peeler doesn’t work is due to how soft the beets get after being boiled. Keep in mind that this is a very dirty job and can take a lot of work to not make a mess. Be sure to wear an apron or cover as beet juice will stain. After you have peeled the beets, cut them, add some garlic powder or fresh garlic and some salt, and mayonnaise for dressing, mix up the salad with a spoon or dish! An easy dish using beets.
