I am so elated with everything that has been going on with my flower shop, but it is my boyfriend who did it all, we actually opened just a couple of months back but sales went sky rocketing right away. What he did was hire a call center outsourcing firm to do the promotions and marketing most especially the taking of orders, it really did wonders for us. You would not believe me if I tell you that I only have one assistant, a delivery guy and myself running the whole store, walk in customers also come in but it is few and far in between. But the dough actually is from the orders made through the web, the daily operations starts with the call center getting orders both through the web and from phone calls. They synchronize with us through a secure program that updates automatically every time an order is posted, it is simple, effective and very efficient, I cannot imagine having to manage a lot of people crowding my store with order slips and all. In a flower shop, it is hard to keep it clean with all the cutting and pruning of flowers and leaves. As far funds go, contrary to peoples beliefs, our contract with the outsourcing firm costs much less than hiring employees, in addition to the equipments that come along and a viable place to position them inside the store. We are in our sixth month and we are now considering on opening another shop in the city, expanding is not tacky or too costly for us since our marketing arm does not need to transfer nor do we need to pay extra. With all the good things we experienced in working together with a call center firm I believe more businesses will join the bandwagon.
